The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. The was told the roller rockers I bought were 1.5 ratio. Further research shows that the idiot had 1.6 rockers. So, how bad is it if I use the 1.6 rockers?
Do do I have to spend bucks on nice 1.5 rockers so I don't over cam the engine?

981 have an install height of 1.700, they coil bind at 1.115 (@ .585 lift) which means you're going .003 under Comps recommended clearance of .060. Will it cause a problem? Not likely in a TPI build.
If you can't hit the 1.700 installed height (a little over would be ok in your situation) then you will need different valves, or retainers, or machine the pocket depth in the head.
She'll poop out at 4000 rpm anyway so I'm going to roll with it. .003 within spec is still in spec. Valve float would probably be monstrous at 4000+ anyway with the 1.6rr.

You're .003 too close to coil bind, out of spec. Should be ok though. Highly doubt you will see valve float under 5000 but can't say anything about longevity of the springs.
Just make sure you get the installed height spot on or a little over 1.700
Got some work done in the shop today. I will need to get different centerbolt valve covers. I drilled out the insides, but still not tall enough for my roller rockers.
I need some new roller lifters. Would GM Part#: 12499225 work for my application? They are for LS engines, but I think these would work and would like some conformation.
