Update:
Today I took my rear two wheels into work with me to have the guys in the shop swap on my new tires. I'll swap on the front tires after I get the rear end finished and buttoned up.
I made a deal with Darren and I now have the proper throttle bracket that will work with the edelbrock carb with the 700r4.
I have a ton of little things I plan to knock out this Saturday (my wife is having a party or something and I get to work on my car woohoo!)
Things I hope to accomplish:
- adjust/bleed rear brakes (stock delco brakes with stupid ebrake adjuster)
- install torque converter lockup kit (already own, just need to install it)
- install heater core
- install lower control arms (literally 4 bolts haha)
- figure out fan wiring
- possibly flush radiator system? (hopefully head gaskets hold together lol)
after i get these few things figured out I should have a drivable car, of course there are more things I would like to do to it, but this should at least get it on the road.
Anybody who is bored is more than welcome to come and hangout or whatever on saturday around 6 in Monroe, message me if you are interested. bring beer if you want haha."Project Shadowfax" <- Clicky Clicky

I'm thinking these wheels will look pretty good on my T/A, I can get them in a 17" wheel which is what I was planning on running

Here is a pic from someone at thirdgen.org that is running them.. I really dig it!

no real updates guys..
which unfortunately means the car still isn't on the road. I took my rear wheels into my work to get the tires swapped onto them, well since its been so nice out the guys have been very busy with the other cars and haven't had a chance to swap my tires yet, I have still yet to bring in my front tires either because I have kind of been waiting on the rears to come home to jack up the front, the thing that stinks the most is that regardless if I even got the tires all mounted today, I haven't had time to actually put miles on the car, so I have no idea if it would even make that far of a drive or not
I might still be able to load it up on a trailer and bring it to the meet and greet, we will see :\
I'm already expecting to hear crap about it not being ready from Darren and C2YT, on a positive note though, it is almost ready for the road and really want to bring it out to woodward.
Things I DID get done though is that I got the throttle bracket from Darren and got it all hooked up and everything, I messed with the timing and carb a bit more and seems to be running good, I have the rear end of my car all ready for the tires to go back on, I am so close I can taste it.. just not close enough haha"Project Shadowfax" <- Clicky Clicky

So I officially took the T/A out for its maiden voyage (around the block) and let me tell you.. it was.. rough haha, definitely needs some work.. the main thing is that the power steering pump is shot so it makes horrible noises.. there is a whining noise coming from the 9 bolt most likely? and the timing/carb needs some adjustments.. but all in all.. I was STOKED!
the car rattled and was really annoying on the inside, mostly due to the fact that there is no carpet, but all in all, i was pretty happy with how the drive turned out.
The next step will be to replace the power steering pump, and get that all figured out, after that will be to figure out the whining noise from the rear end, maybe the wrong type of oil was used, but I was pretty sure I bought the correct kind."Project Shadowfax" <- Clicky Clicky

Congrats on the maiden voyage!
The rear may be quieter with carpet in too. Some gear noise is normal, and is amplified in vehicles where you share the interior space with the "box" that covers the axle...like in a van, RWD utility, wagon or hatch back. I haven't heard a cargo G-van yet that didn't seem loud.
What you have may be excessive...hard to say from a post.DynoDave
