Anybody know what desired operating temperature is for a 904 mopar trans? Yesterday I was in stop and go city traffic coming down plymouth road and noticed it started creeping up a little north of 200 degrees. Coming down telegraph, it cooled down to 180. When I shut it down in the garage, it was down to about 160. There is a dinky little trans cooler. Engine was running about 180-190 degrees.

I do not know specifically. The 904 behind the slant 6 in my Duster is cooled by the radiator. Figure the coolant temp is in the 180*+ neighborhood, the trans temp would have to be some north of that (200+ at least) to make running it through the cooler worthwhile. That's as far as my logic takes me.DynoDave

Hey Larry, I haven't messed with the wipers yet. I was more concerned with finishing up the interior. Rain X got me through one rain storm that I was caught in, but regardless, the weatherstrip is gone. To be honest, I haven't even researched the wipers!Originally posted by 98blackbeauty View Postyou get wipers working, back in that time period they were usually vacumn operated.
