You're Right. I'll have the engine out this fall and prep the bay for the new engine. I'm saving for that as we speak. Not cheap.

Took the 49 out to Heins Drive cruise yesterday. She got a little warm, but managed just fine in traffic. An electric fan will be one of my next investments.

I've been driving this car all around town the past few weeks. Just trying to work out some air in the brake lines. The fluid was quite aerated. Also, UPS dropped my door panel material off yesterday. On the porch. In the rain.

Luckily it wasn't wet when i opened it up. Hoping to have the door panels done and the interior reassembled this weekend. Quick alignment and i'm in business!

Yes sir! Still need to work out the wipers however.

Do you know what kind of amperage they draw? A DC/DC regulator is your best bet, a simple high wattage resistor is going to cause too much fluctuation.

Good to know. I was planning on making a voltage drop circuit out of a few relays and resistors. If that won't work I'll look into the regulator

Current swings would cause voltage variations with the simple resistor setup, plus they get hot.

There are DIY (cheaper) ways around buying the DC/DC regulator but they aren't as pretty or robust. A few resistors and a transistor would get the job done as long as the amperage isn't too high...still need a heat sink though.

Do you know if the radiator core has ever been replaced? or last replaced?

If the radiator is plugged and corroded it will not be very efficient. I would suggest having it checked out before installing an electric fan. There might not be a need for it.
