recovered the back seat. Used some hog rings and the old mexican blanket treatment. Much better.

Im about to go rip it around the block and see if I cam get the secondaries to open so I can see what she's got.

I got the secondaries to go. The choke needs adjustment. Lots of slop and it was closing under heavy acceleration. I rigged it with a zip tie and off she went.

That gear is super tall. Very practical but not very fun.

Best upholstery adhesive on the market.

And some new shocks. Surprisingly cheap too. I was able to scrounge up the pair for 40 bucks.

I've got some pretty poor pedal so I began inspecting the brakes. Passenger side looks good.

Drivers side was covered in gear oil. You have to love self lubricating brake shoes.

Turns out the car needed new axle seals. Not a bad job.

                  Axle seals are pretty easy.

Might as well change the studs out while the axles are out.

If the outside of the car stays white, I like the blue.

car looks great so far btw

Thanks Evan. I'm leaning more toward the off-white or black. It looks gray in the pictures. The carpet in the car is black. The interior metal parts are black too. The company called the blue "midnight".. I was hoping it was a black, but it's definitely blue.

yeah I thought it was gray. if it is in fact black, I would go with that. you can never go wrong with a black interior. lol

Tomorrow is the big day.. it'll determine if I have to pull the head off or not. The car has a gnarly exhaust leak on cylinder 7 due to a broken manifold bolt in the head. I'm going to pull the steering column and try to drill and ez out the bolt. If that doesn't work, i'm going to have to pull the head. That opens up pandoras box to some headwork. I'd love to get a little more top end pull out of this car. Right now, it's like driving an RV.

Manifolds are off. Spent about 2 days finding the right gaskets for the car.

Turns out that the manifold was on the frame and when the engine would torque, it would stress on the manifold. This broke the bolt off and created the exhaust leak and cracked the Manifold.

Solution, notched frame and new manifold.
