I figured that I'd keep a project thread for my 49 for those who are interested. All of my progress on the car will be posted here. I'll try to be as thorough as possible with pictures

First off, the car had 3 inch blocks on the rear leafs when I got the car. It sat higher in the front and frankly stanced like crap.

The front is a kingpin suspension. Found it easier to drop the control arm and sway bar.

Old verses the new. The new springs are moog replacements for a Ford Aerostar (aka ghettostar). They are a progressive rate spring and fit right in. One would think that the new springs would instantly provide 2 in of drop but it maintained the same ride height.

So I lopped off a coil.

Here is the finished result.

man I see this thing matte color with some old school pin strips down its body lines. This would be a fun friday night spinner'91 Camaro Modded, LSx, House of Kolor Intense White, lowered, GS chrome 18" wheels, 14" Brembo CTS-V on all 4 corners, LS rear end, FP suspension components

2 things I would change personally, bigger modern brakes, and some bigger, shinier polished wheels.'91 Camaro Modded, LSx, House of Kolor Intense White, lowered, GS chrome 18" wheels, 14" Brembo CTS-V on all 4 corners, LS rear end, FP suspension components

Disassembled the interior last week. I'm going to make some new door panels.
I took the old, made some templates on new board and drilled the mounting, window, and handle holes.
Still uncertain what color I want to go with. I'm thinking black and simple in the doors and I can get more radical on the seats at a later time.
The old

The beginnings of the new

Scallops would be cool too! I'm open to anything at this point.
Casey, it rides great. The front end is much tighter, there's less bounce, body roll has decreased, and there is no bump steer. I was suspect to the sway bar being too small, but it turns out it was the combination of worn shocks, and floater springs. New shocks should be here today.
