I would agree with going the LS6 intake route, they are definitely the best bang for your buck, nothing wrong with a fast other than the cost.

They're not hype if you have the head flow to support the FAST's abilities. They flow very good, but if you don't have a good set of heads and a good cam, you'll never need it.Originally posted by Lucky SOB View PostFrom what I've read, you're probably going to be better off with an LS6 intake. Yes, the FAST may flow slightly more, but they're mostly hype.Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

Sometimes they don't flow enough... Que DRYSUMP 's engine dyno graph. ... Truth... And there aren't many alternatives to the FAST 102 for more air flow, once you start looking there you are talking about IRs and Kinsler territory... Which OVRKILL knows is a very cheap route to go...

I believe I have traced my issues to my exhaust system. One cat wasnt getting very hot and there wasnt much air flow out of the tail pipes.
Cut the exhaust off..sure enough cant even see light through the cats. Likely my tune caused these to prematurely fail.

Decided to buy the True Dual system that I wanted originally. Should be here Wednesday or Thursday.

Unfortunatly the exhaust shop welded the cat to my header after I repeatably told them to clamp it.
Took the header out last night so that I can clean up all the weld/old metal. I want a 100% slip fit exhaust with clamps.
Excited to hear it since there are pretty much no videos to go off.
Once exhaust is on Ill have to get the tune looked at.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed

The shitheads I took my car to first did the exact same thing. I'd be curious to see how cleaning it up works for you. A 220V welder and a long extension cord are my next purchase.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostI believe I have traced my issues to my exhaust system. Its not going to look as pretty as they did but the new exhaust is slip fit so it should cover up. This has to be my final exhaust. lolOriginally posted by landstuhltaylor View PostThe shitheads I took my car to first did the exact same thing. Why not flange it? Much much easier to remove when the DS, torque arm, etc has to come out.-Joel
