Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

PB Blaster and heat. Nothing I hate more than popping the head off a bolt!
In no way was I going to run a bullet and then dump it. I heard some decent things about the Borla round mufflers, I was going to try one but I got my Hooker catback setup from Larry for a great price before I pulled the trigger
The Borla XR1 is my idea to quiet it down, and end the rasp. Or ....a cat.
I might have a 2.75" Magnaflow cat sitting on the shelf, brand new. XR1 was the exact one I was thinking of.
Not sure if the TR224 would cause problems with a cat (probably not) but the 236/244 in the IROC it throws a "Fast and the Furious" blue flame about a foot into the trans tunnel when the I-pipe is off
for the front bolt, you need to turn the wheel lock the opposite direction. This will move the tie rod boot out of the way so you can get the bolt out the front (HORIZONTAL BOLT)
rear bolt mine came out fine... just had to pound it a little theres some clearance issues with body... I had to turn it so the little lock wasn't going to hit my header.
(VERTICAL BOLT)
Some people the bolts are stuck and they have to use heat... i think melting the bushings.
but mine has 156-7k and came out fine /shrug
What kills me is that they use a proper merge at the split for the tail pipe and and just ram the 2 pipes together at the end of the ypipe. Other than that it looks mint.
My advice to kill the rasp, cause it's definitely gonna be there. Flowmaster merge, and GMMG/ Madhammer bullet. Do it once, do it right! You know I'm always preaching this to you.

I can't justify one for the cost, and I'm paranoid of having a weld crack on these crap roads around me. But a HS turbo kit really does wet the palete
I researched the hell out of them and according to UMI and BMR there are less than 3% of these parts that fail. I am pretty alert as to not hit potholes so I said the hell with it I am doing it now the way I want.

I agree. Does the rear merge look like they bought it or built it?

With out a cat or something else just a chambered style bullet would be almost just as loud I think. If I have to hack it up I am going to try the Borla XR1 or a cat with mad hammer chamber.
Only three months until I can install this stuff. Trying to get all the parts to do everything all at once and then just drive the damn thing all summer.

Merge to clean up the rasp, bullet gmmg to refine the sound a little bit. Borlamouth has been done, GMMG in a loudmouth system hasn't that often, it will be unique. I know the exhausts are a little different, but think of my car compared to Scott's. Mine sounded good, but tame, vs his sounding crazy when he got on it. If you want it quieter, (or are getting *****ed at too much lol) throw the cat on afterward. Super easy for an exhaust shop to throw a cat in there afterwards.

All the new parts look great Nate. I need to go through my exhaust. I was going to do a flow master merge but my y is stainless like yours and I'm pretty sure the flow y is steel. Correct me if I'm wrong but it'll have to be tig welded right?
