i centered it with a ruler actually and made a mark on the head were to turn it to

exactly!! but i was good at geometry, just wanted to be more accurate feel safer i guess lol been to cautious with this build to expensive to make a mistake..

i cleaned mine up they seem to me in near new shape should be good for the build.

havent updated in awhile. been pretty busy a lot of work to do alone with no lift. been using all my free time to work on this hate when my work asks me to stay after even though i could use the $$ lol

              heres some updates though!
pulled the car in garage right after meet and greet and decided its time to pull the motor.
next day i pulled the motor and man! this thing was really dirty.. it took me awhile to clean all the brackets off and get ready to install on my other motor
              ordered my clutch plate in
drilled my intake installed map sensor to front.
cleaned up k-member spray bombed rusty areas with rust eliminator and finished rest off with some black engine paint. honestly was a pretty clean k member since so much oil was on it.
put wire harness on and started to route everything.
headers are just for looks at the moment i still need to get gaskets and some new plugs untill i install.
traded my chrome Zr1's to a guy i met a meet and greet "kevin" for some torque thris II's 315's rear (: "i added $ "

You make me want to stop all the things I have going and put my Bird together right now!!! I know how it can be with work along with everything else slowing down the progress. But look at it this way, if you could work on the car all day because you were not working a 9-5, you'd be saying "man I could sure use some more dough to finish this project." I guess its 6 of one and half dozen of the other.

Wow - that's impressive! I've never seen anyone yank the engine out without raising the rear tires off the ground

looks like you made some good progress in a short amount of time, but the working under the car with just a jack under it is scary as hell, please put stands under it while pulling the motor next time.

Looks like the jack is under the kmember and the stands are at the subframe - he's good

Kinda hard to see from the angle...
