i got a hydralic pipe bender with all the die's like a muffler shop would have ^^ but it is a pain to deal with bending pipe's thats been bent already trying to get the right angle haha the entire setup i have came off a 2002 SS had decent ground clearance but he beat his rear seat bucks in to do it also should be a easy bolt up i hope

if he used those u-bolt style clamps then there is no such thing as an "easy bolt up" band clamps work much better just depends how crazy they went with the impact on them. I hate exhaust so bad.

Thats why building front to back piece by piece is an easier approach . And i recommend sectionimg it with 3-bolt flanges. I never have to fight my exhaust if its in my way. 5 minutes to take it off, 5 minutes to put it back on. No drama.

              slowly getting there....
my headers are jet hot coated and had some rust on the bottom of them so i clean it up with a wire wheel and painted it with silica ceramic silver "pretty good match"
got the car out cleaned it up to drive it for a bit "plating it this week to enjoy it before i tare it apart"

ported the heads "pic of mixing cup how much i took out from what i could swipe up it was everywhere"
              lapped the valves
              put the springs in place
cleaned all burr's off and old gasket material from the block and the heads.

              ready to install the heads

                    heads are torqued to spec!
                    installed push rods and rockers.

LOL at how i did the degree torque's!
                    but seemed to work great

Did you put the protractor so the center was lined up with the rocker stud, or did you do it exactly as it's pictured? If you didn't have the center of the protractor lined up with the center of the rocker stud your angles are going to be off.....

most writeups have you torque to the correct spec then draw a verticle or horizontal line and eyeball the angle from there, looks like hes just using it as a reference point, maybe geometry wasn't a strong suit for him in school lol.

Lookin good! My only recommedation is to upgrade the rocker trunions while the engine is out for cheap insurance
