You can kinda see that recessed area for the copper washer on my fronts. Does anyone has a safe way to remove a small area of powder that will minimally damage the sealing surface?sigpic

My junkyard calipers look good, took the boot back some just to look, pistons and cylinders look clean. I plan on just using some red caliper paint to get me by for now. On a different note, does anyone run a 9.5 in converter with a mr gasket 4l60e deep pan? it is the 3 3/4 deep I believe. I wanted an idea on fluid capacity. I got three gallons so I should be good right?sigpic

Had it at Milan today. Best 12.3493 @ 110.80 MPH. 60 foot was eh 1.7279, which is worse then I thought with the Yank and MTs. Track prep usually sucks on the highschool/college race people.sigpic

It did not feel like it "snapped" or however you want to say it out of the hole. I was running those ET streets at 20 psi, not sure if that was why. They just don't do good track prep on the high school/college days, which sucks because I paid the same amount to race as I would a test and tune. I managed a few 1.78 1.77 60 foots with a 12 inch 2200 stall and the nitto DRs, so I was hoping for atleast a 1.6x with the new setup.Originally posted by c0ncEpT View PostDid the car dead hook? 1.72 isn't bad but I'm sure it has more in it.Last edited by jderry; April 28th, 2013, 11:26 AM.sigpic

What is a good pressure to run those ET Streets at? I think I need more gear too, I was just barely turning 5000 rpm through the traps. I am thinking a 3.90 ratio. The calculator online said with a 26" tire, 3.42 rear gears, and the 1:1 third gear ratio my car should be about 4900 rpm, with a 3.90 it should be about 5550 rpm. I think for the money it may be worth a shot. I have been wanting to replace my pinion seal anyways.Last edited by jderry; April 29th, 2013, 08:57 PM.sigpic

For your car I would start around 22PSI. Lower as needed. The more air pressure you can run the better.Originally posted by jderry View PostWhat is a good pressure to run those ET Streets at? 3.90 is a great ratio IMO. I was really wanting to try one in my LS1 car.
