Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Sounds like a good idea, I will set up a spread sheet to help with that.
I am almost ready for spring, just need to install the drag bar, gears, and the pcm once I get it back in the mail.
My car was definently locking up WOT as you can hear in my videos, Steve said the min lock up speed WOT was 255mph, meaning it should never lock up WOT.
What would cause this to still happen?
TPS?
PCM and Trans no communicating right?
here is the video for reference, you can hear it shift three times and right before the finish you can hear the RPM drop some.
I tried lightly touching the brakes right after this happens and it revs back up telling me it was indeed a lock-up.
Just finished this!
It looks decent after a little bit of tweaking, but for the price it was worth it.
Took my fuel rail off to put new injectors in, opened the new injectors up and only 7 of the 8 were correct.
The 8th was a Denso injector that would not even fit into the intake and did not have the indentation to receive the retaining clip.
Have a new one on the way now.
I am putting new gears in it and welding the axle tubes in it now.
I just got my solid crush sleeve, I think I will measure the old sleeve and use that as a starting point.
I put one in my IROC when I had the rear apart.
As for welding the tubes, make sure you have a knowledgeable welder. My father said to preheat, use high nickel rod, weld small stringers using intermediate heat, do a final heat, then insulate for a slow cool. I have no formal training in welding/metallurgy like him so I'll take his word for it

That was my plan, when welding something like that, that is press fit, I think it would be a good idea to do a few small patches so it cannot move any if the press fit loosens with heat.
I drove the car today, suspension feels good, I like the 3.90 gears a lot. They're very quiet.
I do have some squeaks from my front end, I did just put in new poly control arm bushings in the uppers, if I tightened them unloaded could this cause a squeak?
