We are a longgggg way off, still gotta drop the motor and do a ton of work up front I will be happy if its done by August I just don't have a ton of time to work on it. MWC does make some seriously nice stuff but I think they have just become so busy in such a short amount of time I tend to hear the same lack of communication or very long wait times for people to receive parts.Doing less with more

Agreed sir, Think 6 grand worth of shit would want them to get the order out though! pshhhh madman said 1 week from the order placement i would have my stuff, i was going to cancel the order but it would just be a huge debacle.Originally posted by Nocooler View PostEric @ MWC is a good guy - but he's hard to deal with. He takes the order/payment then you don't hear from him, and one day your stuff will show up.

Ok I'll bite wtf did you drop 6k on? Full tubular font suspension, front afcos, and a moly 10pt?Doing less with more

No unfortunately I'm retarded and have a 6pt in mild steel. But strange brakes on all 4 corners, shock mounts, chromoly k member, a arms, spindles, 300 lb springs, bearings, spanner wrench, pinto rack with ends, afcos on all 4 corners, ARB bar, front and rear bumper supports, and I think that's it. Should be a nice upgrade over everything I had consierng it was factory stuff. Should whack a little weight off to, to keep up with the timebomb, probably won't beat it thoughOriginally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View PostOk I'll bite wtf did you drop 6k on? the only reason I'm putting a good chassis under it is I plan on selling the motor soon and might have to go forced induction. Ill have the trans, rear, fuel system, and chassis to handle it,just a matter of a gear/converter swap.. how big of a turbo is going on his thing a 106

wow thats a hell of a list, I must say I'm very jealous, but why the 300lb springs if this car is going to be losing so much weight? I heard you were going turbo at some point but no idea when.
Our turbo is a 76mm T4, its honestly a gamble as to whether or not it will even work, its got a 64mm turbine.Doing less with more

I left the spring selection to eric... he told me that if I had an ls aluminum block, the rails, pin on hood, etc he would like to do a 275 which I wanted but he was hell bent on a 300lb spring... I'm sure it'll work fine i. Hope. I don't know if I want to do a turbo or f1r, I would like to get everything back together and drive it and work with what I have now then sell it and hopefully have enough $ by this winter to fund another motor build. Forced induction is no cheap game to get unto that's for sure.... its already driving me nuts with the car apart and tracks opening, can't imagine what its likme to be kyle and have a build projected to be on the road in 2045Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postwow thats a hell of a list, I must say I'm very jealous, but why the 300lb springs if this car is going to be losing so much weight? It is ridiculously expensive but I can say that you spent more money at MWC than we will on the whole rebuild of this car, hows that budget for you

300's will be way to heavy for that car... i have 250's or 225's on my car and the front of my car i would put 500 bucks on it saying that its heavier.. 300's are going to ride real stiff

no budget here boss!
I don't know man I told him my set up and I can't argue with a dude that builds 6 and 7 second f bodys... I told him I just wanted the car to leave nose up a foot in the air and sit down... 225lb sprins? I've never heard of that light of a spring... and your a car with a lot of weight in the nose, he told me that there full blown race cars they put a 275lb spring up front and there turbo cars they put 300s.... 225 would be like having no spring at all, you sure that's right. I'm not looking to have a car with a sponge for front suspension, then again like I said I just told the dude my set up and he's putting what he thinks is best for me, thOriginally posted by kammi10 View Post300's will be way to heavy for that car... i have 250's or 225's on my car and the front of my car i would put 500 bucks on it saying that its heavier.. 300's are going to ride real stiff

madman recommended me 300# so thats what I have, makes sense to me but Sean yours seem very light especially for a heavy turbo car. You guys would prob laugh at me, last time I contacted MWC I was inquiring about their aluminum panhard bars and I thought about just making one for cheaper myself lol. Still debating selling my single adjustable one and buying a double like I want to.Doing less with more

Ya lol seems like it, how heavy is your car? I hope to be at 3500 with me in it, it was 3715 last year... he told me if I could lop another 100 off the nose he would of set me with a 275Originally posted by Nocooler View PostI've got 300# in mine and it's fine.
Seems like everything at MWC cost $6k - that's what my rearend, wheels and tires cost :x
. Whyis it better to have a double, obviously there's more tunability but most everyone I seeis running a single but evryone I know is cheap, I'm sure you could make one cheaper lol!Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postmadman recommended me 300# so thats what I have, makes sense to me but Sean yours seem very light especially for a heavy turbo car.
