    • E85 Jeff have you talked to the guys at aeromotive about that pump? When I put my a1000 on my car and I'm running ee85 as well I called them up and they said its only good for 750 at the crank with my nitrous set up, and on a forced induction set up its significantly less.... I would call and see if that pump will make the cut... all I know is my car gobbles the e85 and I know with a boosted car its gonna want a ton more then mine. Hate to see ya run outta fuel and cook the motor

      • I have not talked to them about it just yet, we do have bigger plans for the fuel system as budget allows and personally I don't see us maxing out this pump right away, plenty of other weak links before then. I did discuss with my tuner about the power potential he has personally seen and made on this pump with E85 and I was impressed with his answer. Not to mention Sean made us a deal on the pump, lines, filter, and reg that we could not pass up. Eventually I'd like to upgrade to a weldon and be done with it, not to mention the reliability of them on the street is second to none unlike the aeromotive units.

          • This weekends plan, rear end is coming out and hopefully be swapping the gearset in that once we get a line on a cheap set, looking to go 3.55 3.31 3.27 any of those should work. After that we're dropping the gas tank and either sumping it or using the one I have sitting around that just has a -12 port at the back of the tank. Seems like its pretty common to do it that way seeing as the tank is slanted back on like a 30* angle as-is and then we can just use the stock feed port on top to return to after the reg. Also lots of cleaning to do, I was recommended using scrubbing bubbles and a scotch brite pad to clean up the undercarrage any other recommendations?

I'm in the process of shooting my engine bay and undercarriage right now too... if you have rust a needle scaler is the shit hands down (it takes the flaky rust off) and there 20 bucks at harbor freight... i had some oil build up from the exhaust and i used a really strong degreaser to get it off (it was caked on there).... from there i used scotch bright pads and put chassis saver on it... Chassis saver is killer stuff and nothing else will keep rust out like it, but is very very expensive... but if you got no rust and no exhaust carbon build up then ya scotch brite would be the way to go.

              • I have a couple small spots of rust near the lcas but nothing serious. I will probably throw some rust oleum on there after I clean it well but I don't think I'm going to do the whole underside. The majority of it is just carbon and dirt buildup and its def a fair weather car.

They are for sale no secrets here.

Work took over this weekend for sure (the kind that makes the $), and Mike was too worried about eating Jimmy Johns to get motivated on his own lol.

A guy on tech with a very similar built to ours(5.3, 76mm) has made 850RWHP and went 8.65 with 80lb injectors and E-85. His pressure is cranked up(80-90lbs) if I remember correctly. We arent planning on pushing it even close to that so for right now we'll be alright. Plus our tuner knows what hes doing. When he says its time for some new sticks we will buy them

                            • thanks Matt, I wouldn't say it looks real good lol but we plan on cleaning it up quite a bit, maybe when its all done we can take some bottles back and have you work your magic on the exterior a bit

I know we should be able to make around 600 with 80s, prob have to run a slightly higher base FP but we wouldn't be the first to do it, thats more power than we plan on making with this setup right now. I would say take the ET you ran last year and take a full second off and thats where we are hoping to be lol.

                              • Mike got to work on removing the turbo kit off his camaro and brought it over the other day so thats more shiney stuff to put in the pile here. The turbine housing was starting to get surface rust so I took the turbo off and decided to clean it up some then lightly coat it with some WD-40 until its on the car, took a few pics.

                                comp wheel is decent size

one of many limiting factors in this build, chokemaster turbine
