Just did. And I kept my parts, so now I have all new suspension for the new car. That will be a winter project once I get settled into the new house.

Project is still alive and well, still going for the "sleeper" look, although the car may be a bit less stock looking than originally planned, as the wheels that are on it now really complement the cars color.

Just picked up a 94 Formula, t-tops, 6 speed, power everything, interior is gorgeous, dark grey leather. No rust, very few flaws cosmetically. Has a slight misfire, but I'm sure I'll be able to track it down in short order.

Current mods include MSD Coil, BBK stainless or coated (can't tell which) shorty headers, manga flow cat-back, and C6 5 spokes in silver. Car is a grayish-purplish color (maybe Purple Pearl?), paint is decent, although it could use fresh paint on the mirrors, right door, left quarter, and hood due to some minor chips, scratches, and fading, but car should clean up nicely. I'll gie her a bath this weekend and see how she looks after a little TLC.

Plan is to swap over all the aftermarket parts from the 93 onto the 94, fix the minor issues, and drive the car. She drove great the whole way home, trans shifts like butter, engine runs smoothly most of the time, just a slight misfire under heavy load. Still turns over the tires easily, makes plenty of power. Can't wait to install my parts, buy a few more mods, and have it tuned.

Akodo gets to be the lucky first MIFBody member to go for a ride, as we will be breaking her in while planning the route for the Fall MIFC Cruise.

Anyone else who wants to join us is welcome, we will be meeting up on Sunday morning at a location yet TBA, following the route, and heading back to our starting location. We will be planning stops, photo opportunities, and meet-up points for rest areas and to regroup. Kevin mentioned he was interested, I know there are a couple others who would like to go as well. PM me for details.

Seller replaced her with a 2004 GTO 6 speed in bright red.

Thats the pic from the seller. Car looks great. One tiny spot of surface rust on the bottom front edge of the drivers side rear quarter panel, where the quarter, rocker, and door meet. More of a paint chip really, the rust hasn't taken hold yet.

Car has plenty of power, turns over the tires easier than the 93 formula ever could. It's going to need a new clutch at some point, not because this one is slipping, because it's not, but because the previous owner informed me that he last had the clutch replaced about 70k miles ago. Haha

Wow Nick, I had missed the last few weeks of updates here, just caught up . . . congrats on the beautiful new car! Love the color. And I am glad you stayed with a 'Bird . . . you are right, we would have given you TONS of for switching to a camaro

But one thing i can't figure out from your posts - did you keep the '93, or sell it? Seems like you have the extra parts, but couldn't tell if you kept the body . . . just curious. And did you sell your DD too?

Anyway, now I really wish I could join you guys on Sunday . . . as I am going to get my 'Bird from storage this weekend, so it will be available. However we have that Labor Day party to go to. If that falls through I may still join you . . .

I still have the '93, I will be taking all of my bolt ons and upgrades from the 93 to install on the 94. Once I finish that, I'll start parting out the 93, and once it is just a shell, I will scrap it. Unless there is interest in buying the car as a roller or something, but I doubt it's worth much. Mostly looking to keep the expensive new parts I put on it over the years, then the rest is up for grabs.

I did not sell my DD. This car was cheap enough that I only had to sell a few guns. Lol
When i started searching, friends kept showing me really nice Camaros in my price range, but I told them all no. I could not go from a Firebird back to a Camaro, the Firebird just has those little features the Camaros don't that really make you love them. Like the adjustable side bolsters. The seat back storage net thingy. These are things that really sold me on the car, aside from its condition. I need to find a way to repair/replace the console shift boot, there's a fuel issue (previous owner said fuel injector leaking into intake, I think it's just running rich because of either an arcing spark plug wire or bad O2 sensor), it's going to need a clutch (Centerforce or Spec stage 2 or 3 perhaps?), some minor aesthetic repairs, and new tires. I'm excited about this car though, even with the issues it has, it's a far cry better than my 93, and I have a parts car for it. Haha

I think they look great. . . What do you think would look better? I wanted a simple, 5 spoke 17" rim in silver for this build, I think these rims accomplish that pretty well. . . Lol
