                      • thx brian i appreciate it,i cant wait either been working hard on getting the body straight,im working on the rear of the car as we speak, the back bumper will take some time to make it look perfect but nowhere near as bad as the front one, then i just have to primer the drivers rear quarter panel and block sand then its time to spray the whole shell in cobalt blue.i will have more pictures to update soon.

                        • been working on the body as i have the chance too, while waiting for my tranny to come back from the rebuilder wich is a freind of mine thats rebuilding it for only the cost of parts i lucked out there,so i have to wait until he gets the free time to do it,hopefully wont be much longer, not really in any big rush anyway have lots of work to do on the body still,so i been making the rear as straight as i can get it,the bumper required alot of work and patience to get it looking ok,and the passenger side lower quarter panel had a few bumps and bruises in its 33 yearlife, had to get them straightenend out, still have yet to find any bondo on this car wich is a good thing,or any rust holes exept for the tiny hole i had in my front cowl under the weather stripping thats already taken care of.all the body panels so far have been in super good shape knock on wood., so then i proceeded to sand it all down to 400 grit and lay my coats of 2 k primer, also did the same on the drivers side top quarter panel.

                          • this car has really been a challenge for me with working 10 to 12 hours a day,and coming home and putting 3 or 4 hours into the camaro a night and also making time for the kids, but finally its starting to seem all the hard work is paying of,finally seems im getting somewhere, put in another 4 hours on it again tonight, got the trunk gutter all sanded down and 2 coats of primer layed down then sanded with 600 grit its now ready for paint, also finished all the body work and sanding down to 400 grit on my drivers quarter panel and gave that 2 coats of 2k primer and block sanded it with 400 then wet sand with 600 grit.and started the sanding and primer on the roof,so all thats left as far as sanding and body work and block sanding is the drivers door jam and the rest of the roof and the shell is completely ready for its cobalt blue metallic.

                              • That rear bumper looks great man!

Got any pics of the front bumper?

That is very cool that you havnt found much rust, in the "usual" spots!! I have got rust in just about all of them- some of the spots are through the metal, unfortunately.

Cant wait to see it all cobalt blue man. Everything you have done so far will all of a sudden pay off after that. Gotta love the gratification a new paint job can give!
