looks like that thing still has some good bones. good luck with the build what are the plans for it so far? if you plan on running electrical/water and heat now would be the time to spend the extra and do it

Sean - you have to add a urinal to the new garage. That'd be awesome.

You will love that garage. The barn I built at my old house was a 24'x74'. Nice to be able to get 2 hoists and 10 cars in it will all of my stuff.

Why not? With running water you're already there. I've seen guys on GarageJournal put the urinal in a corner and then just build a piece of plywood divider that sticks out to give you the privacy. Two mandatory items for a larger size garage: urinal and beer fridge. They really do go hand in hand (no pun intended).

i'll either A) walk into the house.. its a 50 foot walk.. or B) walk around the corner and take a leak.. once u see the finished pictures of this you will also see on one side there will be no room for a urinal as there is to many machines (lathe, drill press, welders, Big bench, heater, woodstove, etc) there isnt going to be room for one.

If you guys are using an indoor woodstove for heat, I would suggest a ceiling fan above it as it makes the shop heat much faster/more evenly.

p.s. how are you guys insulating the roof?

Urinal's are over rated...I had one in my garage (was there when i bought the place) I never used it...finally took it off the wall and pitched it.

I've also seen people put a pipe in the wall that goes to an underground sump
