    • hmmm, you'd think if it were an LS brace then i wouldnt have to trim to make it sit right.. Also if it goes on how it sits it wont get much air at all..

      • You shouldn't have to trim anything If you have an entire LS front clip and hood. The only thing you should have to do it drill and possible tap a few holes in the core support to hold the lower airbox in place.

        • well my radiator support has the little clips so i should be okay with that. i just expected there to me more airflow.. I will also have to shave down some of the LS support to sit flush.

          • You can always use something like a CHRS1313 or FTRA type deal.

            • explain?

Edit: is cutting into that brace a step to let the lid sit lower so it clears non ram air hoods? Or is it an airflow thing?

Oh alright. So really this setup is getting as much air as I thought.

Update:went to an automotive flea market type thing that someone local runs out of his barn and got another LS1 radiator support an unmarked aftermarket lid and two K&N filters.all for $40 I was very pleased.

Ill post pictures tomorrow maybe someone can recognize what brand it is. Not that it matters I know "a lid is a lid" I'd just like to know.

China twp. All the way down 26 mile then a few miles down king rd. most of it is Chrysler/mopar parts. And not really useable parts just some really cool
Old stuff. But I was lucky enough to find that in a box that was filled with truck filters/intake boxes.

                        • well i spent about 5-6 hours doing this LS1 lid conversion. and even though i didnt have to cut into anything it was still a major PITA. but its done now. i only had to splice and extend the IAT sensor wire, the MAF wire reached with slack.

First off here is the unknown brand lid i got.

And if im right my Ram Air hood will sneak some air through this opening instead of just using 100% of the air from the A/C condenser
