• Well its on the jack, it I just need a hand helping moving the jack around. Cause I can't hold the trans up and move the jack back to put the tail up to get the right angle. Last time I got pissed so I kicked the jack out of the way and was holding it up and the mainshaft slipped out of the hole and thats how it fell on my head. Haha. Like I said my cell is jacked up right now so you'd have to PM me your address and it might work so your cell too if you wanna help.

    • Driving update: With the 4.10s it doesnt chatter much at all in 1st&2nd the rest are butter smooth.

also spent some time before i cleaned the interior to swap shifters to the stock shifter i got from TJ

Directly after the removal of the short throw.

Stock one is in and much much smoother. so the throws are pretty long, theyre crisp and concise.

also spent some time and aimed my foglights as low as the adjusting screw would let me. Here are some various pictures. (passenger side bulb has less "burn time" than the driver so it appears more green for now).

B is gonna love me for this one. keep in mind my phone was touching the ground for this picture

      And from the cockpit.

      • After looking at the stock shifter it looks like you can take the stick off and put a short stick on it.

          • That stick with the pistol grip I couldn't change the cd if the car was in 1st 3rd 5th. The cd would hit the stick then just go back into the cd player haha.

            • Wait so changing shifters in the 4th gen only requires 4 bolts? You don't have to crawl under the car and do a ton of work under the car?

              • Pretty much. It's a pretty quick process if you've done it before.

                      • Brian didn't know you can remove the shifter with just taking the shift boot and trim piece off? (If you don't run the rubber boot that secures to the floor)

I took the entire upper center console out when I did mine.

No I didn't use anything but the trans. Lol I really goofed I thought that clutch was useable. I ended up replacing that, the flywheel, the complete hydraulics, bell housing.

                          • few questions for JoeliusZ28 about this LS1 lid swap.

ive got this silly little soft plastic\hard rubber piece over the first radiator and im not sure what its used for or its purpose, its just getting in the way of my filter and im not sure how to remove it.

also when i lined up the filter to cut into the brace it seems like i need to take a lot more off than usual. i just want to make sure i dont take too much off.

                              • i live off 26 mile. but the project has been aborted for now, until i can find a cheap SLP lid. or ill just bite the bullet and get one off ebay. the OEM lid with its big stupid vaccuum chambers hit the alternator. Im glad i checked that before i started cutting.

also got that stupid plastic piece off to find this.

ive got that all cleaned up now and im mocking up the LS1 Rad. support i can tell im going to need to do some trimming

im going to need to trim this area (i think)

on a side note the purpose for these two connectors seemed to have slipped my mind. im really hoping theyre related to the EGR/A.I.R system.
