    • Suspension and tires. If you have 800hp and you can't stick it, its pointless.

We're talking about losing weight for now. Eventually ill copy yours or Joel's suspension setup.

          • Driving update.

2:73's were really not as bad as everyone made them out to be. Yes, between the ceramic clutch and 2:73s 1st did bog pretty bad, but in all honesty it only bogged for a split second while the clutch was catching then it drove fine and actually used 5th gear around what i think to be 55MPH.

city driving on this clutch wasnt bad, 1st gear sucked but with 2-3 and 3-4-5 gear changes the clutch grabbed firmly but wasnt too RACECAR

and car update: alternative auto has the car, 4:10/4:11 should be in by the end of tomorrow. then i can give the car a nice spring cleaning, between the shop dirt on the outside and metal shavings inside you'd think i didnt love her..

            THEN: LS1 lid swap.

              • The clutch will act completely different with the 4.10's

Maybe for the better but gut feeling says no. I hope my gut is wrong

i think with a higher gear it will make 1st easier and less boggy, obviously im going to have to grab gears faster, yet be slower with the clutch at the same time. but i think im prepared.

                      Instagram loser!

Yes mine is a street/strip setup. Thats why I have double adjustable shocks all the way around. Joel is going for a street/autox setup (least I think he still wants it for the street haha).

I just want a really stiff street car. Ill probably never autox. I know I'll never take it to the strip. So I just want a setup that can put power to the ground cleanly. Eliminate all body roll or be as stiff as possible.

                        • Well I would suggest:

                          SFC
                          Adjustable PHB
LCAs (Non-adjustable poly would work, no need for rod ends then)
                          Upgraded Sway bars.
Cage if you really want to stiffen the body up.
Tunnel Mounted torque arm (Not the short ones)

                            Right now I've got planned.
                            Strut tower connector.
                            PHB
                            Torque arm
And a WS6 style of better sway bar. And then finding every single rubber bushing or mount and replacing it with poly.

But... That will be a while from now. I need to focus on weight reduction right now.

                            • Well, its debatable if STB does anything. I had one on my Saturn and it seemed to help but it could of been mindset as people had timing cornering with and without and saw no improvement. I would spend the money some where else.

Weight reduction off the top of my head,

                              Spare, jack.
AC if you aren't a prissy person who likes the windows up.
ABS if you aren't the pussy who just jams the brakes on and locks them up.

That right there will net you around ~80lbs.

Sway bars and Bilstein shocks should be your #1 priority then. I wouldnt put one above/below the other they will both make a tremendous difference. Follow it up with torque arm and LCA stuff if you have wheel hop at that point.
