Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

a buddy of mine had his flexplate crack, had all the same symptoms as you and thought it was a bearing...but turned out it cracked right down the middle but still drove just ticked bad.
Been awhile since I last updated this. Because I have nothing to update about
Since the camaro created a tick. I just parked it and left it spring-fall. Purchased a used 06 Silverado so thats where the money has been going.
The "bug" hit me awhile back and I really want to get the camaro back on the road. So plans are to figure out this tick and get the Z28 rolling again. That is only if its something small like a lifter or maybe bent pushrod.
Anything further (internally), the Camaro will probably remain parked until I figure out a plan and direction I want to go motor wise with it. But I do miss driving it. Budget to fix is under $500. So I am hoping its nothing major.

I missed where you explained the tick. But my car had a tick a while back right after I ran some GM top end cleaner through it. They ended up finding a scoured lifter in it (under my extended warranty). I noticed the noise when I would pull up next to a building like a drive-thru.
