Well thats what a 200+ shot will do off of the T-Brake with a Nodular iron 3rd member.

It worked fine for a while, but you can only hit it so many times before you find the weakest link

Spent a little time today working on it. Got some of the dents out of the floor pan from when the rear end went. No after pics as it doesn't look any better lol. Going down stairs right now to paint the lights. Also decided to change routs a little bit and am looking into getting an ls1 donor car first.

Have not done very much on the car, but this pretty much sums up what I have done to it since the last update:
Got a trans
Have been working on the exterior lights whenever i get free time while at school, and now on work term.
Here is a few pics to show the timeline up until now:
Started by stripping/blocking off the old night shade while also getting rid of the molding differences to make it smooth


I noticed how much of the assembly sticks up into the bumper, so I decided to paint it to eliminate the light that would get into the bumper

Here is the after of how it turned out. Not the greatest in terms of clarity, but it is very level. Now I am just going to buff it to see if it needs a wet sand
Front (that dimple in the center is not a run, its part of the molding)


Rear

I have also been working on the tail lights, just blocked, cut and buffed. Not done with the buffing yet, just about to move onto a finer polish

Before and after, they turned out ok. Result of me using some cheap clear, they should do and are about 6"-ers

Here is what they look like up close. This was after 2000 and 3000 wet sand, then three step polish. I don't feel safe going any further as I have taken off a good amount of clear to get them this far

Yea, there is only so much I can do with crappy clear. Remember, everything I am doing right now is cheap or free, and the only thing i bought for this project was the nightshade. Already had the clear, and I guess it was getting a little old.

p.s. the way I took the pics over-dramatizes how they look in person, you can't even see what the camera picked up unless you hold it about 6" away from you and look at in direct light.

Ive never really liked nightshade on anything. ( mainly because of the poor application job) But those look super clean.
