Bad deal, I bought an Iron 5.3 for $150.... I don't want aluminum blocks anymore, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay a $450 premium on one...

o·vr·kill [oh-ver-kil]1. an excess of what is required or suitable, as because of zeal or misjudgment.

Does anyone know where to get the epoxy or acrylic that the hot rodders use to flush-mount taillights? The stuff they would use to coat the taillight and fender or bumper to make it smooth but is also clear? I found this stuff, but I don't think it dries clear. http://www.streetrodhq.com/detail/15...AGENT_FOR.html

you dont want any of that stuff anyway.. you would want a LS6 intake and TB, need the LS1 accessories and brackets, the truck harness has extra stuff u dont need and is drive by wire, and you want an 0411 ECM anyway vs the truck ecm.. dont ask me how i know.. cuz i can just show you all the extra parts i had to take off.. and switch over to LS1 stuff.. hahah

You can use the truck PCM, just needs to be reprogrammed. Still running my orig. 5.3 PCM from years ago w/ an LS1 F-car harness.

5.3's must not be drive by wire then.. when i had my car wired he said the pcm wouldnt work with my harness because of that..

Nothing to do with displacement. Just MY. Initially all 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 motors were cable drive, but around 04 - 05 IIRC all gen 3 and gen 4 motors becable DBW.
