This car couldn't have found a better home! Can't wait to see what you do with it. When you say starting out with an sbc, do you mean carbed? Or are you going to stick another lt1 in it? If I were you I'd do it once and do it right. Maybe use an engine that's boost ready without boost to start. Also speaking from experience, auto cross doesnt require a lot of horsepower... My car succeeded at being a crowd pleaser way more than it did at running respectable times

I would be starting with a Gen I small block, pending my grandfathers involvement. I think a methanol-injected roundy-round engine in an auto-x/road track car would be just a little bit of fun.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostThis car couldn't have found a better home! If he doesn't get involved I will probably just do a mild gen I sbc build and build up my turbo motor on the side. I would like to start a ways from my goals so I have so place to build to for years. I don't want to be one of those people that build a car exactly how they want it the first time, then get bored with it and sell it.
Hehe, I will have to check with my dad. He said that he found a place that sells take-out ls engines with all accesories and computer for $1500-2000. He hasn't showed me it yet, and until he does, I am going to keep thinking he is blowing smoke out his azzOriginally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Post
