Id get chrome 18" irocs if i had your car. I loved how seans car used to look with those.

I am just not sure I am going to like 18's on my car, wish I could somehow see that in person. If I found a deal on 18 inch Irocs (used) I would buy them in a heartbeat, but I am not going to spend $1200 on a new set of wheels until I am sure thats what I want

Maybe @ruckusz28 can shed some light on this. Your new wheels are 18's right? Where did you get them?

If you can swing around $500 per wheel you can get just about anything you want design wise and fitment wise. I know Bonspeed was having a buy 3 get one wheel free sale.
If I were to run a true buget friendly wheel, I'd buy the bare 18" IROC's and have them widened to 18x10's.

If you can swing around $500 per wheel you can get just about anything you want design wise and fitment wise. I know Bonspeed was having a buy 3 get one wheel free sale.
If I were to run a true buget friendly wheel, I'd buy the bare 18" IROC's and have them widened to 18x10's.

darren i'd almost guarantee in the picture my car sits lower then yours.. that had eibach sportlines that were cut! it was a 2.5/3 inch drop

same wheels with that drop.

fronts did not rub hardly at all,

rears only rubbed before i cut out the bump stop. was with 245/40/18's up front and 275/35/18 out back

yes those are the same that i had... no adapters or spacers

the 275 rears were not recommended but they worked fine for me


Joel the sheet metal and everything else is different between 4th and 3rds up front. which is what makes it harder to fit a bigger tire up front but it can deff be done just have to find the right wheel and tire combo.

Nope, you can fit a 275 up front on a 3rd gen...just gotta play the numbers a little.

Hey Guys, I have not had any problems with the 18's. The car is pretty damn low as well. They are 18x8.5 all around. Front tires are (i believe) 235/40 and the rears are 275/35. No rubbing issues at full crank on the steering. Speedo isn't noticeably off either.. then again, who actually looks at that

I have stock brakes on the car as well with disks out front and drums out back. I did not need to run any spacers although I do still have that spacer set sitting in the garage with your name on them Darren!

I got the wheels from West Coast Wheel Factory in California. I get lots of compliments on them.. the iroc wheels arguably are the best OE wheel ever produced. That's why everybody put them on EVERYTHING back in the 90's. If you had irocs, you were the man lol. They are the right wheel for the car. I love it when people look at my car and don't even notice that the wheels aren't OE size. Makes me chuckle inside a bit. Understated, yet improved.

Thats what I am doing now, found a thread 45 pages long. So many different wheels out there... But I keep coming back to a certain two...

so I might have found the last place to get 17 inch Irocs from, waiting to hear back from them.... But I cant get away from polished zr1's either, even tho I know I will have to run adapters...
