Wellllll, after getting my PCM back from the tuner, I started the thing yesterday and it still would not idle and was running rather rough.
The headers were not even warm on one side! I removed a spark plug and it was like new and not even wet. So, there was not any fire nor fuel on the left bank.
Then, last night being totally disgusted, I quickly poured a tall glass
and went on the computer to dig up some wiring diagrams. I had discovered that the left and right side banks are each fused seperately but that the coils and fuel injectors are powered by the same circuit and fuse.
So today we did some investigative work and found out indeed that there was no power at the injectors and coils of the left bank but the right side did. We hot wired it and the machine started and sounded and idled fantastic even with open headers!
The fuse was good, so we traced the damn wire and found that the wire was cut near the right wheel well. I had purcahsed this LS1 engine harness from someone on the west coast and strangely enough the wire was cut in a place that was taped really well. Sabotage??
Did the repair and actually ran a new wire to the left bank and then started it and it ran fine. All fuids being topped off and all leaks fixed, we had decided to take this machine on its maiden voyage down the street to see what happens.
Having no hood, front fascia, tailights, open headers, etc., it sounded and ran rether well for its first trip. The shift points need some adjustment which will happen next year when we "drive" it to get it dyno tuned.
The boyz were smilin' ear to ear and actually wifey was also!

Well, time had come yesterday to "tuck the project" and the "boyz" rides in the basement for the winter. :\
It probably wasn't a "smart idea" to drive my car in there with open headers! Things were shaking in the homestead.
I will continue to get things together throughout the winter and hopefully be ready for Spring, hopefully!

Nice! Ok so this might be totally NEWB but cars in the basement? Can you explain this to me, like a walk out basement but a garage?
Shoot a couple more pictures I would love to see it!sigpic

Yea Darren, you hit it on the head, it's a walk-out basement with an 8ft. service door. When we built the house 8 years ago, the plan was to finish the basement and leave enough room for one vehicle. Well, the basement never got finished so now we have room for the "family of F-bodies."Originally posted by Darren View PostNice! Ok so this might be totally NEWB but cars in the basement? We are now stuck in there until the snow falls and goes because there is quite a sizeable grassy hill that we negotiate to get in the basement.
