Oh and I forgot new U Joints installed on drive shaft, and this 1993, 190K mile drive shaft we still could see the crayon markings from the factory! That just shows and proves to us how clean this car really is!
Correct the headliner is 90% done, I took the steering column further apart. Darren removed my AIR pump. Pictures to follow of my beautiful 17 year old, 190,000 mile drivehshaft.

I have yet to make a final decision. I was getting very frustrated Saturday and I wanted to part out the car. The 700R4 I wanted to install Saturday the lock up converter connection was a 4 prong unit and my car has a 5 prong.

I need to investigate further on what is required to tune speed density then it will help me decide if they car will just be a driver or if I can modified further without trouble.
I have a new set of Delco plugs but I really don't want to fight to install them as I am considering a set of headers at the moment..

i think that is completly reasonable with the shape the car is in and how clean it is. but its hard to part these things out and get good money. 1g for the trans and motor if your luck another for the body. so youd need to get a grand out of suspension, rear end and interior which would take forever todo.

well the 3rd and 4th gear clutches are what caused my transmission to fail. But I should have my trans back by 2011. I found a good deal on an aluminum drive shaft so my car will be a few more pounds lighter.
Now I need decide if I am selling it in spring or if I am buying headers and tuning software.

Dont buy tuning software, buring chips is no fun. If your going to do it, do LS1 PCM swap or OB2 or something. You will not like burning chips. I still vote mod the shit outta it, race car FTW. Your young and have money to put into it! You only LIVE once!

I am pretty sure an LS1 PCM conversion will cost almost as much as the car is worth. Coils, PCM, wire harness, gear. I am pretty sure it is a $1500 upgrade if not more

Yep it is for sure at least $1500. Thats why you have to decide what you ultimate down the road goals are for the car. If your just going to sell it, then basic mods and leave it alone. If you plan too keep it (more then 2-3 years) then putting some money into it is well worth it IMO. How often do you find a completely clean rust free 1993 z28?

I would put headers on it and call it good for now. Dont mess with the tune/ignition/trans yet, you can make those decisions later. see what it can do with bolt ons first and it can still be sold in that condition.

If I didn't have another car or if I didn't want to move out on my own in the future I would be all about spending some money on it.

I like this idea at the moment. Tomorrow I am going to call the place that sells chip burning equiptment and see what I would be getting into. I also need to pick out a torque convertor. I can get a new stock one for $60 vs a 2400-2500 stall for $250.

The transmission should be going back in after Christmas. I am going with a 2200 stall convertor.
