            • From a Google search:

It is the late closing of intake valves that cause "reversion" in high performance engines. Reversion is the word most commonly used to describe the fog of air/fuel ejected from the mouth of the carburetor when the throttle is opened at low rpm. Reversion disappears when the engine rpm becomes high enough that the intake valves close before the piston can push air/fuel mixture back through them.

so.... valve float at low RPM?

                  no.
valve timing, intake runner length, intake velocity and more will cause the intake charge to revert back into the intake instead of the bore

                  • Woudnt there be some potential for this "fog" to ignite?

                      ^^^ Exactly....

However its not as bad as its "defined". I suspected the intake valve was not closing soon enough, but after further discussions with Shawn this is a relatively common occurence with ITB's primarily due to the runner length and velocity. The dyno header configuration may be contributing as well...

Not sure if the next cam (hehehehe - not confirmed but being discussed) will make any improvements based on Shawn's assesment.

Oh yes, believe me I know. I was wondering what you were doing with that cowl because I seen your bodyman a couple of weeks back and he mentioned your cowl rework. It may get serious when you start getting into the windshield!

Oh by the way, your w/s washer bottle looks good!
