That top one looks like it was welded with a spool gun. Yuk.

you've been around long enough, you should know by now most threads always wander off subject..Originally posted by OVRKILL View Postthis thread really stuggles to stay on point.....
CC and forget about it..
On a serious note, I see why you went with Marcella, the difference between those intakes is night and day!!

Question you'd want to ask would be is the marcella worth 2X the price and 5X the wait. Both will perform flawlessly. Not to mention nobody is gonna see inside the manifold during a car show lol.Doing less with more

Well it isn't 2x but def a little more. As far as the wait? Its coincidence....busy time of the year. VSpeed had a dozen intakes with him at the start of the year. Dudes just crazy busy. Typically is only 2-3 months.
Its not fair for me to speak on behalf of what Beck does or doesn't do, because I dont know. I know he's big with the race guys (who, for the majority, really dont care how it looks), but haven't seen too many street rides sporting one. Performance wise, both are equally strong. To be honest, Marcella has been working with VSpeed for years and they understand each other. Weird, but their working relationship have created some pretty wicked stuff. Had I been working with another builder (e.g. HKE), I may have a Beck on it.
Lol, don't think I haven't wondered how to go about putting a ZR1 style window looking down inside that art work!!!!! As far as what people do see....you wanna see a side by side?sigpic

I can assure you I don't need to see a side by side I'm not bashing Marcella, remember that. I just feel like your statements are biased heavily due to the shop building your car and there are hundreds of racers using either product and having great results. I'm just stating that looks alone would never sell me any intake, look at the billet wilson manifold

looks great but performs like total garbage and yes the price tag is stupid on this one too.Doing less with more

I think you missed what I read in stating just that Jeff, had another builder built this with sheet metal resources, it may be a different game. All things being equal performance wise, the fact that Marcella's intake is cosmetically superior is a bonus. In my mind, I would conclude that by the level of attention to detail in assembly would be proportional to its performance. The design of the intake is not done in a vacuum. Shawn Miller is the one that decides runner length, etc based on the specific application...of course with John's help, so all bases are covered.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View PostI can assure you I don't need to see a side by side I'm not bashing Marcella, remember that.
