Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
To be honest Jeff, I ok with it. Original plan was to get it done by mid-July around my birthday (HINT, HINT!). Car would have been rushed and was bound to miss something or give something up. Getting it on tour would have cool, but it would have been short cutted in some areas. Now I can refocus on the original build intent and follow through. Stress is a little lower too....
Maybe now I can add a couple more things to the craziness...matching tires perhaps (you're welcome Fred)!

well at least you have a positive attitude about it.... set backs always happen.. jsut a part of building these damn things... hell ive had 3 major set backs so far.. it;ll get done eventually..
Official yesterday, because of vendor delays, I won't make the PowerTour . I'm thinking 5 months for an intake is a little crazy. Can't stop now I guess. Had to call the sponsor yesterday too....
Looks like those "imaginary" parts are nearly extinct now (you're welcome Darren)!!! Next milestone date will be Camarofest....
Hmmmmm....what shall we do with the extra time
What the hell are they doing with the intake? Do they have to engineer the entire thing first?

And another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end. -Homer Simpson
While I'm still waiting for go-fast parts to be finished, I'm in the "what else can I do?" mode....
Bilstein make-over! Yellow and blue were not going cut it!! Hard to tell in these pics but I used a light silver metallic to match the V caipers. Didn't come out to bad...
When I get my Bilsteins I'll probably do this too, blue/yellow + green car = gross

I think you sorta expected this to happen.. Like you said, at least you won't feel rushed now and shit shouldn't get overlooked.. Hell it's been 5 years, what's a few more months...
Why does it need to be a custom one-off intake? I'm shocked that there isn't something somewhere that could fit your needs (that has already been produced).

Combination Derek. Intake is tuned (runner length specifically) to the heads, cam and operating RPM range. Plus these are 11deg heads...nothing else fits, lol.

I think any of you with questions regarding the intake should look it up. c5R stuff is all custom and not cheap. Not to mention that VA speed is making a big statement with this motor and trying to set the benchmark very high. They are fully capable but every detail of the combination is critical and must be perfect to reach their goals. This is truly an epic build and will be more than worth the wait.
Everything in the motor must work together. I'm sure you could find something out that that works and has a shorter lead time but thats not the point of this build.
