        • Just ripped the driveside shock out. Can't get the mount off its spinning the shaft. So going to get new mounts.

Plans for tomorrow is to, rip the clutch back out. Dial the bell housing, hopefully its within specs so I dont have to wait for offset pins.
          Mount the rear brake lines.
Hopefully the bell will be fine so I can mount the front coilovers and put the trans back in which will allow me to put the torque arm in and driveshaft.

Have a coat of dish soap drying on the rear slicks.
Fronts are tubeless design so I was going to coat them.

          EDIT:

Just picked up some Moog Strut mounts 170 bucks for 2 but lifetime warranty.

          • So what's going on with the motor in this thing? Are you leaving it stock for now? Can't keep secrets forever

            • Hmmmmm. Maybe I can.

Build a driveline that will hold the motor first

              • Taking a break to eat something. Snapped a few pics.

Driveside coilover is in and done, clutch, pressure plate, bell housing are in.
                Torque Arm is in.

Really all that is left is figure out how to get the back brakes to mount on the axle.
                Put the transmission back in.
                Driveshaft in.
                Passenger coilover in.

I'm probably going to pound out the front wheel studs and put in 1/2" studs so they match the back also.

Oh got the slicsk and skinnies mounted and balanced. Tried to put a the rear on for a tease but its hitting the front. I hope its because the axle is hanging down and forward, people don't seem to have problems running 28s so. If not I will be getting adjustable LCAs and sell my current ones.

                  • Your gonna need adjustable LCA's to fit 28's... Even then you will likely need to do some trimming on the bumper cover to avoid rubbing at speeds.

                    • Well it hit just the corner of the rocker while its in the air. I read a bunch of forums with people saying they never touched even without adjustables. It wouldn't hurt to get them tough to be safe.

                      • Weight savings update:

Wheels on the car - 56lbs a corner. Total 224lbs.
                        Old Exhaust - 48lbs.

                        ----------------------------
                        Total 272lbs

                        New Exhaust - 9.5lbs
                        Rear Tires - 40.5lbs. Total 81lbs
                        Front Tires - 22.5lbs. Total 45lbs
                        ---------------------------------
                        Total 135.5lbs

                        Total Weight Savings 136.5lbs

So that brings my Total weight reduction to ~233lbs.
If I remove the rear seats thats another ~28lbs, so ~261lbs Total.

                        • Well trans isn't in but I decided to push her out of the garage.
                          Only things left are:

                          Trans
                          Driveshaft
                          Finish 2 step wiring.
                          Put interior back together.

Please excuse how dirty she is. Need to wash her once I am done and buff here.

I need to get the bumper cover repainted or replace it.

Also who is running 28in slicks? I see I need to do the BFH, will need to get adjustable LCAs and where did you guys cut? Just the bumper? Any pics of this?

                              • Trans is back in, driveshaft is in, shifter is back in, exhaust is on.

Tried to start her up last night and no go. I am think its because I deleted the EVAP but didn't tune it out yet, so my thought is the car is going "OH no there could be gas fumes I better not start up!"
