        • Congrats! Just out of curiosity, when you were checking whether or not a pushrod was turnable, do you mean after you loosened the rocker? Because if you tighten a rocker down and walk away for 5 minutes, when you come back the lifter will have eased up and the pushrod might be able to spin again. That was the problem my dad had when he was adjusting his rockers - he'd walk away and then his rockers that he thought were tight felt loose again.

          • I mean it was turnable after the motor was started. What I ended up doing is taking the valve cover off and starting it for 10 seconds then going and tightening all rockers that had turnable pushrods. I was scared to over tighten them but now I have some that are two turns down and some that are six. Seems like they would have been close but once I "over did it" it quieted right down.

Going to make a few small adjustments today but I feel safe driving it and thrashing on it. Did some highway runs and got it real warm yesterday and it performed like a champ.

            • Decided I am going to put some miles on it before I do anything else. Finally, a completed nice walk around video.

                      • let the engine idle for a bit. i had one of those roller lifters that ticked tightened the rocker nut and then i started to lose some oil pressure and heard a faint knocking. the lifter was gettig dry so i backed it off a hair and it was fine.

                        • So Nate is it working properly now or does it need more adjustment? The thread on LTxTech made it sound like now you think they're too tight?
