  • In loosing my job my coil brackets are only a 1/4 of the way done so I had to improvise and mount them in a way I didn't want to but it worked.

Started by locating the coils on the covers and drilling holes

Then I started on the harness

Have to get this puppy in 1st so I could mount the PCM and lay in the harness so down the hatch

Ran into an issue with the water pump and the bracket that goes in place of the Opti.
They hit so some modification was needed.

      Getting close!!!
      New Uploads 146..jpg
Check out those SHORT plug wires
Now before I started the car I unhooked the PCM and C100 plug and put power to the harness and checked to make sure I had ground where I should have a ground and PWR where I should have PWR.
Everything checked out so I unhooked the Battery and hooked everything up and she fired right up!!!!

I do have to put the OBD 2 plug in the car yet and will get that on Monday.

        • good progress kyle!

I did not have good luck with relays on my water pump. The first one burned up immediately, the second failed after a month and the third one was part time.... I said eff it and wired it right to the fuse box and its been fine ever since.

                        • a stock LS1 tune should be just fine as a starting point for adjustment. I dont plan having anyone flash mine.

                            • just want to add toi this thread to help a few people out in the future:

LT1 pin Black 16 shows up twice, LT1 pin BLACK 6 also shows up twice. These all need to have their own wires run an pinned into the appropriate spot in the LS1 pcm (see efi pcm comparison sheet). (this is a total of 4 wires that you need to run.
