Yea he knows alot just keeps finding little things to make this thing perfect. I went and checked out the new bigger valves and the port job is looking awesome!!! The new vlaves are so much better!! He went with a bigger manley valves on both sides, and damn they look nice. The pistons are mahle and are so damn light!

The reason there isn't aftermarket LT1 manifolds is because the GM design is damn near perfect.
It will support pushing cars into the 9s.
There has never been proof of gains from the Edlebrock, I think someone found a loss on it, not my by much but it certainly isn't and improvement at all over the stock one.
        Just future reference.

Well the only reason i bought it is cause my stock one was ported by a friend and he made the thickness between the intake ports to thin and my shop guy doesnt want to use it. I also found out today i bought the wrong one the red one doesn't fit LT1 head ports just LT4. So im actualy trying to return it. Should i just buy another stock one or just trade to the lt1 air gap?

Do you know what brand? I am pretty sure I am going to run Howards Billet mains, mine will be 4 bolt straight though, but I plan on making lots of power.

I would return it and exchange it for a stock one.

What is your horsepower goals? I don't feel like thumbing through the thread to find out.

I know someone with a PC black one laying around for sale

                      • If I were you I would return the edlebrock one, and get a factory gm intake.. in stock form they actually work quite well, if you have the money a port job that is properly done will help but not a ton. I know a lot of guys running just stock intake and going pretty fast with them... by hogging that intake out you will increase the amount of cfm it will flow which yourmotor will never come close to consuming, but inversely you will kill velocity... stick with a 52mm throttle body to, as crazy as at sounds you will never even come close to moving the amount of cfm thbhat a 58 will flow, a 52 will flow plenty and keep your velocity up. I'm sorry I didn't read all your pages but can you give me a runown on what you plan on doing for a shortblock, cam, pcm, and the rest of the car. Love the color too btw! Don't see many of them floating around any more, I don't I've ever even seen one personally

                        • im still using the factory intake and throttle body. Doesnt seem like there is any restriction.
