This will be a great guide for when I go to tear mine apart.

BTW I really don't believe that I'd be able to get much for my stock parts seeing as they all have 101k miles on them. (and if I get new heads I'll have to get centerbolt valve covers )

nope keeping your stock parts is almost better because your not going to get anything from selling them, that is if anyone even wants them. Getting centerbolt valvecovers is also a huge plus because those nasty 98 perimeter bolt ones are horrid.

If I get the centerbolt valve covers won't I also need the brackets for the coil packs? Maybe I can devise something out of sheetmetal.

I'm looking into the heads right now Spencer, Phil told me he knew of a few a while ago so I guess we will see. I believe the coilpack brackets are the same Vinnie, I don't ever remember buying new ones when I switched over.

thats pretty big lol, mines in that area, some say big cams are hard to drive in traffic ect but my car drives great. had no problems sitting in chicago traffic for like a hour last year.

i think the main issue would be is there enough ptv clearence? did the guy say he was running stock pistons and what size chamber heads?

You need to decide what you want out of the car before we can give you real cam input. Russ is right giant cams like that are much more difficult to tune and your lucky if you don't have surge at low rpms. If your gonna go with a megadeath cam you absolutely need a 4K+ converter to make it an efficient setup as well as making sure you've got enough PTV that is why I would suggest staying mid 230s duration, many people have run very impressive numbers on smaller than donkey dick cams.

Suspension, aftermarket TA(Adj), 3:73 gears, LS6 intake(which you have), update to ram air cai, yella terra 1.7 roller rockers(you can get em cheap on tech), LT's(which you have already), this is the cam I run(http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/p-937...81588-114.aspx), stall(mine is only 3200 vig), 241 heads or preferably 243s, ford 30 lb injectors and TRACTION!!! you know what my car runs NA. This is pretty much the setup in my car. with some tweaking high 11's on motor, best to date is 12.12@112.
This is a reliable setup and will put you where you want to be..

You are looking for much bigger cams than I think you will need. I would personally go with Mike's suggested 230/230 cam, that cam was very docile on the street and I bet you'd have amazing drivability with a 3600 converter and that setup would run a number with traction. I'd keep with high 220s on the intake are mid 230s on the exhaust if your hellbent on buying a used one. right around .600 lift on both ends and 112-114 lsa and you should be just fine.
