We need some insight into what you like/think is lacking. What makes the car more enjoyable to me might make the car awful for you.
Also, if you're gonna upgrade the TB, get a bored-out stock TB. There are people on ebay who bore them out to 52mm. I believe it's cheaper, but more importantly it has the proper IAC passages which from my understanding most (if not all) aftermarket ones don't have.
For starters, I'd have to say living on a dirt road blows, even at 10 mph the thing rides worst than a truck. I really think the rear shocks are mainly the issue. The fronts are new Belsteins the rears are edelbrock that have been on there for a long time.
Lack of power, or the fact I'm totally use to it.2002 Z28 Camaro A4

My car has the same ride quality as my 08 Impala and it's lowered. The road to our office building where it's stored is horrible if you're coming from the other direction, and this thing can handle it surprisingly well. I can tell you how I got there, but it's not cheap.
The power thing I hear ya on. Do you want a nasty engine, or mild mannered but powerful? I know people will think I'm nuts in the age of turbos, but I LOVED the power delivery of my Vortech T-trim with a small cam and T56 in my old car. I'm a huge fan of centrifugal blowers aside from the noise at idle, which it seems has been reduced quite a bit in recent years. I have a big cam NA engine right now with a T56 and it's not nearly as fun, IMO.

My car feels slow to me too, but everytime i get next to something on the street im reminded it isnt...
Try some new shocks out, my car used to be a rattle trap its all pretty snug now with the bilsteins on all 4 corners.-Joel

People try to remind me this all the time. To me, I don't care if I'm faster than the next guy. If it feels slow to me, that's all that matters. I want the car to scare me juuuuust a little, in a good way of course.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostMy car feels slow to me too, but everytime i get next to something on the street im reminded it isnt...
Point being, it all depends on what makes you happy.

My car is still plenty capable of scaring me when it kicks sideways in second at 50 mph
I should clarify, the seat of the pants feel isnt lacking... I just get a little bored between shifts. 4.10 gears would probably fix that
. Heck if i even make it to 3rd gear im already doing 20+ over the fastest legal speed limit in michigan

I'm pretty sure shocks are the issue. When I hit a bump or a pot hole I can feel the fronts take it well then it slams when it hits the back. My 99 had a prokit and Belsteins all the way around and it rode great.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Post

That's every day for you isn't it?Originally posted by OVRKILL View PostNice! I like car part buying moods....
Something else is like to do is buy a set of inlays for the back "Berger" panel thingy. But since I have had nothing but issues of them wanting to peel up in the corners and be nothing but a wax trap, I'm going to scuff down the whole panel, apply the decales then clear over them
should look pretty slick.

I think you got your swap done too late in the season perhaps?
I do know that a bunch of little things can add up to be a disaster and make it not enjoyable - thats partly what lead to be ditching my LT1 and getting an LS1 car.
Some days I regret it since there are tons of nice LS cars out there and few LT cars but overall it was worth it for me.
I am taking a few days off work in the spring and doing all my stuff at one time, lots of little stuff and maybe some big stuff too.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed

What is it that you miss about the LS1? Or do you mean the whole LS1-style car, not just the engine? You can do A LOT with an LT1 depending on your goals.
