Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

1997 z28 White 6 speed Heads and Cam. (Sold)
1994 z28 PPM auto Cam only (Sold)
1984 sport coupe red 4 cyl (Sold)
Took off the valve cover bolts that I originally sandblasted and never powdercoated
No pics of them scuffed
Sprayed some etch then some flat black. Also sprayed the 2 small screws for the rear bumper running lights.
Popped off the interior door panel bezels. These have seen better days. Lost all 4 clips, know where I can get some? Going to repaint then the right way at work.
My passenger door panel skin started coming apart again a little bit on the top so I mixed up some strong epoxy and clamped it down for a few hours today. Looks much better.

Ordered some clips for the door bezels/switches. So now I can repaint them and fix them the correct way.
I have been pondering spraying my interior plastics black. SEM makes an actual interior spray that is very durable and looks OEM. the painter at work suggested it. He used it on his 68 charger interior and said it looks great. I'm nervous because it's kinda a once you doing it there is no turning back. I intend on going with a black headliner and black carpet. Too much black?
Still need to do something with the seats. The drivers side has the normal hole on the bolster. The passenger side is mint. Recovering the seats is pricyyyy. I'm better off getting a set of used leather seats and swapping them in. But then I'd need some door panels to go along with them.

I've used the SEM stuff that you actually spray from a gun and it worked great for me. Just prep it really well and use whatever adhesion promotors and such that your paint store recommends. Personally, in an interior, I don't see any harm in everything being black as long as it's a nice satin OEM-looking black and not a quickie job with glossy paint.

Glad to hear. I agree, I don't want it tacky. I want it looking as OEM as possible. Really the only durable pieces need to be the kicksill areas for my clobby feet.
I found the lock plastics at hawksthirdgen.
Edit: mini rant, I was in the process of checking out for the lock plastics from hawks, they can only weigh a few ounces, $11 to ship? Put them suckers in an envolope and shipem'... Yeesh

Mike, you can practice on my interior plastics I need them repainted
I would rather ruin mine lol. But, if all goes well I'd be more than happy too. It's the LEAST I could do for you.

You won't screw them up. I scuffed mine with a red scotchbrite and cleaned them with 91% isoprophyl alcohol, no other prep, then sprayed them with the SEM paint straight from the can into my gun. They've been thrown around in storage for probably 8 years now without a single scratch on them. If I can half-ass it like that and have them hold up, you'll probably be fine.
Plastic welded the few cracks on the bezels. Then I filled the imperfections in with glaze. Going to scuff the rest of them tomorrow and prime them then paint.

Also, I am thinking of ordering the headliner soon. I might be getting this more "for sale" friendly. We'll see...

Michael, if you're going to order a reproduction headliner, I have one of those ABS ones that they sell, brand new, that I've decided I'm not going to use. I'll let it go for a decent price if you want to take it off my hands.
