Ya the speedo is working but the pins backed off today so I may have to put new pins in it but that is easy.

Right on Red and Kyle. Glad that the issue was easily fixable. After seeing the quality of work that Kyle does, and how quickly it happens, I might just have to hand my car over to him when the heads/cam are done!! Very impressed, great job all around!!

Kyle is very, very good with the engine rebuilds and I love my car....even more so when the speedo works. Ems is off work today so I'm going to get her to go for a ride with me so I can get to the 500 mile mark. Kyle, how long before I can roll down the highway?

Since you redid everything, what is your recommended break in on a rebuild Kyle?

I like to let the motor run for a bit with out a lot of hi revs (below 2500) and do about 3 heat cycles then drop the oil.
This is to help push all the assembly lube out, you don't want to get too crazy during this time, just let her heat up nice and run for 10min after operating temp has been reached.
During this time I'm also doing fluid level checks and making sure the car is staying cool.
If you do a dyno session you have an extra change
Put 500-800 with mild driving, City.
Then a 1500-1800 with mixed driving City/High-way
Then after that you can go ball's to the wall if you want with a change again at 3000 with normal changes after.

Since we did a dyno session I made sure that the oil was fresh so she has a extra change in there.
I know it seems like a lot but if something go ka-plunk I'll know before anything gets too beat up too bad.

I have changed Red's 2x now and she should be back next week for her bolt check and I'll do an oil change.
By then her clutch should be broke in and she can hit the high-way.
