  • Send a PM to Creight. If the LS1 is the same as the LT1 - you want just the thermostat.

    • Look into the startup enrichment too...doesn't the 160' t-stat cause your oil to dirty up quicker? and plug fouling without a re-tune?

Other than that I think it increases gas mileage not to mention what you really want.

      Used to own a Firebird.

      • After some reading, I'm pretty sure I need the one with the neck.

I'm not worried about fouling plugs. I can make adjustments with my HPTuners if need be. My tuner suggested the lower temp thermostat, and I trust him.

          • for high Hp cars a lower tstat and setting the fans lower reduce the chance of detonation.
You can get the T-stat out of the neck by pushing in and turning it.

            • Phil has told me to get one from the start, so I bought one and had him just install it when he tuned my car, you do not need the neck as mentioned.

              • Nice stuff!

Does your RevXtreme catch can rattle/jingle when you shut the hatch or doors, etc? I had it on my Trans Am as well and everytime I'd shut the hatch I'd hear it jingle, lol. It's a nice piece though!

Nope, it doesn't rattle when I close the doors or hatch. From what I've heard, the bracket that attaches the can to the block has been beefed up so the can doesn't move around like it used to. I can hear the ball valve rattle when ther is just enough vacuum to move it around, and that was a little annoying at first. I just emptied it for the first time, and I am very glad I stopped that crap from getting in to my intake!

                  • Hey Brett, where'd you get that stainless Y? I've been looking around on Ebay all morning and couldn't find it. I'll probably be going the LPP route too. I also saw those O2 extensions on there, was 24" enough?

Very nice work by the way.

My ORY came with the headers from LPP. I dont see the headers on their site anymore, but the ORY is on there. http://lpparts.com/store/page5.html

24" was more than enough for the extensions. I was able to route and ziptie them so they dont hang down low.

                      • No reason a hedman Y wouldn't work with LPP headers then is there?

I have no idea. It would all depend on the angle and location of the collectors.

                          • I'm gonna guess that it won't work, every header is different.

                              • So here is how my day went...

Died on US-23 just south of 696. About 60 miles from home.

It was hesitating for a few seconds, then losing power and picking up. At first I thought the trans was slipping. Then it died all together. I was able to get it started for a few seconds to pull it up on the trailer. Now that it is home, it will only run for about 3 seconds. I can't get any fuel out of the schrader valve on the fuel rail, can't hear the pump priming, but it is getting power. Looks like I get to do a fuel pump!
