Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I talked to our insurance and they said that since both cars involved are on the same policy, there is nothing they can do.
My Mom says that she will do her best to cover the damage. Hopefully with that money, Christmas, my bday in February, and money I have saved up, I will be able to get the paint work I want.
Awesome man! I see the holes for bolts - do they all come that way or is that a bolt in kit? I want to get bolt in but I don't like that it costs more for the bolt in sets.

Probably a bolt in kit. When I put them in my car I'm going to get a weld in kit and drill holes up front. That way I can bolt and weld them in.

I'd imagine you could just buy a weld in kit and drill your own holes to save money but I bet they would be kinda hard to drill. Other than that are the tubular sfc's any stronger or weaker than the ones made with rectangular tubing?

Yeah, this is the bolt in kit. They way I look at it is that the bolt in and weld in kits are essentially the same, except for the bolt hardware that comes with the bolt in kit, so it will be a little more expensive. You don't have to take a bolt in kit somewhere and pay to have it welded in.
You still have to support the car completely so all tires are off the ground when bolting it in though right? I've heard you have to get it up on a lift so the frame sits evenly, at least for the weld-in kits.

No, you need to have the car up in the air, with all the tires LOADED. IE, front end on ramps, rear jack stands under the AXLE, that way it is just like if it was sitting on the tires.

Definitely. If I could find someone that had a shop with a drive on hoist that was near by, say around between 23 and 24 & Schoenher that would let me put these on and do my motor mounts, I would be really appreciative.
