Tinted the side markers today. .

To tell the truth, they actually came out darker than I would've liked, but for right now, it's cool. . They still look sweet.

Here are some pictures (yes, the car is going to be washed soon).

Yeah...not a whole lot of light let through in the daytime. We'll see how they work at night. Maybe I could put brighter bulbs (like LEDs) if needed...

And I also know that there is orange peel. I'll eventually hit all these lights with a buffer, but for now, it's fine.

First off, to fix the orange peel AND to lighten up the tint a little on the lights and side markers, you're going to want to wetsand them. Wetsand before you touch it with a buffer, and you'll be all the more pleased with the appearance of the lights/corners when you're done.

Another way to make them look even better, is to shoot some clear coat over the tint. Clear's the same price as regular spray paint if you buy it in an aerosol can, and the results will look great on smaller items like the lights.

If you need any tips or tricks or anything, just let me know, I've tinted the taillights on 2 Firebirds, a Camaro, and my Sonoma, and I've always been pleased with the results.

Took some pictures at 8:30 (so, not super dark out, yet). Lights are totally visible.

The orange peel is really only visible it you get down on your knees and look at the marker, it's not terribly bad.

                    Voltmeter.

                    I'm trying to decide.

Short Sweep or Full Sweep. There's a $50 difference, but the full-sweep is more accurate, plus it looks better.

And yes, I'm getting Auto Meter Cobalt.

It's a line of gauges. It's been around for a while now, they make all different kinds of gauges in that series. They light up cobalt blue at night, that's where the name comes from.

                            Yep. Nick said it!

I figured, hell, it says "Cobalt", I'm buying that line (plus I like the look).

I like knowing volts, and believe it or not, the Cobalt doesn't come from the factory with a voltmeter.
