    • Haha, funny you mention that.

I just PM'd him about it 10 minutes ago.

Perhaps he can provide some insight.

I would definitely write a letter to the judge (I have done this). Explain that you know what you did was wrong and it will not happen again. You are willing to pay the fine but request that no points are placed on your record. If you have never been pulled over or ticketed before you could throw that in there too.

On a lighter note, that is way louder than I thought it would be. Very cool man. I might try to swing by tomorrow to check it out, can't make woodward on Friday.
Ive done that same thing, writing the letter part

Depends what you do Brian, I wrote a letter for a ticket in madison heights for 20MPH over and I got off with no points, they knocked it down to impeading and I didnt even have to go to court or anything. Maybe your letter just wasnt good enough

BTW- I'd be careful around those cars with the blue & red lights on top of them.

            • Thanks everyone!

As far as the ticket goes, I'm going to look into writing that letter. I'll call the court and see if I can get the address.

              • as far as handling the ticket goes the biggest factor is the district you are in!!!

some wont even take you seriously unless you have a lawyer, others will drop points with a letter.

Another thing is DONT give them a story. Every chump goes to the judge with some bullshit story, even if it is true. Judges dont want to hear any more stories - get to the point and tell them you were wrong and it wont happen again.

                • nice work, but why on earth are you testing your car in a 25mph zone? Thats just asking for problems. What do you think this car will do at the track?

                  • If I can hook up, hopefully low 14s...

...yeah, it was my mistake to test it there...I didn't have my headlights in, so I was kinda afraid to take it to Woodward. But honestly, I didn't expect it to increase that much...and I didn't think it would get to that speed that fast. I looked down and it was like...shit!

Woodward's where I rock the speed now. I like my tires.

I have to say, when you get on it, the front end comes up like a mofo, and it definitely torque steers...

x2...and as Joel said, it depends on what district you're in.

Example...2 years ago I got a speeding ticket in Romulus going to the airport...she noted that I was going 10 over, but only wrote me up for 5 over.

On court day, I drive down to Romulus to plead the case, and the magistrate says that he'll waive the points if I agree to a "double parking" ticket instead (a zero point charge).

Well, OK, I say and proceed to pay my $125 fine.

Later that day, I Googled the fines and learned that a 5-over fine was only $85...with 2 points.

Sooo...I gave them another $40 and skipped the points.

                        Worth considering...

                            • I washed, clay barred and waxed Balto just before dinner, today - and then got camera happy. The car just seemed to look so...clean...hell, I got the ladder out - I've never done that.

Took my dad out for a spin in it today, he's very impressed.

However, I noticed, as I pulled in the driveway that it had thrown two codes:

P0171: History SES Current Stored: Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1

                              and

P0532: AC Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage.

The first one is understandable, I mean, it coulda popped lean or something. Tomorrow I plan to take it out and datalog for my tuner and see if he can dial this sucker in.

The last code really confuses me...I didn't even mess with the AC...

Anyways...here are my pictures...god I need new rims and tint, so I can photoshoot this sucker!

This is from last night when I got home after seeing Public Enemy:

And today's "photoshoot" at my house:

                              Mmm...smells like sleeper...

I think it was Will who asked if I was planning on removing the "LT" on the back...I kinda think it'll stay there for the time being...adds to the "oh it's just a regular Cobalt" theme.
