I don't think you would need dual springs with those, PAC 1518's would more than likely be just fine.sigpic1994 Camaro Z28 83K M6, CAI, AFR 190cc, 11.6:1, Hooker headers, Hooker ORY, Mangnaflow exhaust, AI 230/238, 1.6 RR, B&M Short throw, Hays clutch, 4.10 gear.

My cam does not require dual springs (yeah I know, it's a ittle one). The way I understood it was, under approx. .640" it's not necessary to do dual springs, all you'll do is put unnecessary pressure on your upper half thus promoting premature failure of cam bearings and such. (I could have been fed bad info,)Originally posted by Fbomb View PostGonna need dual springs.

dual springs are better for anything. no more stress than singles when the correct spring is used. if you break a single the piston/valve is toast. dual the inner will sometimes save you.
with the lobes used today duals are better. prc or patriot golds and extremes are the most widely used. the new 925/926's are designed for LSR cams

Holy cow larry, I was sure that you car was packing more of a punch than that! Can I ask? What were you running NA? What were your 60fts? Ever been dynoed NA?
My cam is 224/224 .563/.563 112LSA, and to be honest, its too big for my stock motor, slow driving around town is a PITA. Make sure you really research what you want, race car, DD, etc.
Next on my list is is some ported 243s, hoping for 400rwhp after heads, then I'm done.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....

I honestly am not looking for anything radical.. Car is a cruiser first, track car now and then. In fact when I go in 2 weeks, it will be my first time back at the track in almost 2 years.. So who knows, I may just leave the cam I have in, in and have a little work done to the heads and just swap em out.. Or just go a little bigger than what I currently have. I was at Mid Michigan when I ran my 12.12@112 60' was like 1.80ish. Car has been dynoed, Dynojet 370 rwhp through the cutouts, 360 exhaust. I had it dynoed at the same place twice over a couple year period and the numbers stayed consistent(not saying they are right)...When I ran my 12.12 I pulled the left front a good 6-8".. I still think the car will run low 11's on a 100 shot, reason being my 11.62 bottle pressure was only 650(should be 950ish) and I screwed up big time on the launch(cost me 2-3 tenths easy). Figured out the problem with my bottle heater, on my to do list.. Hoping now with the 8 point and Spohn anti roll rear drag sway bar she'll launch pretty even.. Just tossing this stuff around right now, I am in absolutely no hurry..Originally posted by sman View PostHoly cow larry, I was sure that you car was packing more of a punch than that! Can I ask? AI 243 heads
I think I can squeeze a 10.98 out of it.. Won't know this year, no sense in getting a tune till I do the head and or cam swap... Have never ran this tune at the track, it's the original tune that came with the car. Curious to see what it runs in a couple weeks.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View PostI think you have a 10 second car all day on the shot Larry and that what I would expect next time you spray it
