Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
I prefer the coils on the valve covers. This lets you run the shortest plug wire possible and keeps the coils in a cool and dry location. All are relatively the same temp as each other and each share the same length plug wire
Is this actually making any noticeable difference? seems like tons of people do this including lots of drag racers with much longer than factory wires with no adverse effects.

not sure. but it gives me peace of mind. I know the coils can get finicky though, not as sure how important the wire length is
I saw a thread on tech where brent made his own and used the same coils I have.....
Paging the master of bling!
You rang......
If you're DDing your car, I probably wouldn't recommend my set-up. After tweaking the brackets for optimum packaging, I'm going to turn the brackets over to a guy that will fabricate the permanent set.
sigpic
o·vr·kill [oh-ver-kil]1. an excess of what is required or suitable, as because of zeal or misjudgment.
the main issue with msd are the tension of there clips. Suck to put on , then due to the tension the ends get pulled off when removing. This isnt as much of an issue on race cars or other sbc, bbc stuff but due to the nature of f-bodys they suck to get to and pull on

Yikes, with a stock k member in not even sure I could fit them in.
Everything I read says I have truck coils, would make sense considering the 2 sets of coils I have are off of 5.3's. But the 12558693 part number listed as "truck coil" by both CBM, Nasty, etc. Shows a SQUARE coil. Mine are ROUND, and have a heatsink on top.
Does anyone have a list of the different coils used?
