I've heard that helps seat the rings. I've head idling isn't good though. Like Jeff said everyone is different so listen to your engine builder to cover your ass.

Is this the hill on Baldwin by chance? lol

to seat the rings you want to keep a load on the engine. Vary your RPMs, give it some heavier throttle but dont rev it to the moon. Dont "cruise" the car. slow down and speed up repeatedly. When i break in a new piston on my dirt bike i drive it around the yard fighting the brakes on the first heat cycle... my bikes have always performed well after this

Like everyone said the gears need heat cycles.

As far as the rings - I'm a break it in like you drive it. Do a couple part throttle pulls and let off letting the engine slow the car down, it'll smoke for a few pulls, once it stops the rings are seated and I let it eat it.

I think my T-type engine had 30 miles on it before it hit the track, drove it straight there Ran some mid 11's and drove it home. It had a bad meth problem and liked 25psi+

Honestly - follow what your builder recommended, he's the one that will have to fix it if it breaks.

I haven't thought about the meet and greet.......might be a possibility. Also depends if my car is back together.....I'm starting to pull it apart - it's going slow.

Typically I'm at the track most Wednesdays - last year was the exception due my accident. Hopefully I'll be able to make it out alot this year.

                      Heads and cam

I was burnt significantly last summer in a brush fire accident. I've made almost a full recovery physically - just working on the post traumatic stress and the scarring right now.

Thanks - I think I have the swap under control. I'm not looking forward to pulling the balancer, and the radiator is being a pita right now. I'm debating if I'm going to stick with the maf or convert it to speed density as well.
