  • Don't mention it Fred....figured I start gentle and political. Will more than likely go south from there, lol.

At lot of those a$$wipes couldn't turn a wrench without posting a thread asking how to. But as mentioned earlier, a lot guys do know what they're talking about, just forgot they didn't know everything once upon a time or they are simply "followers" regurgitating what they've read.

I appreciate that, and your post was very well put - in coherent English too! lol

      • I don't hate on anyone for choosing something based on a budget, that's not my way.
I would rather use my knowledge and experience and give people some good opinion to use for reference in their descision.
Ask someone if they would skimp on some heads a rotating assembly or cam & valvesprings and most would choose quality proven parts.
The same can be said about shocks because their one of the most disregarded and misunderstood components on the car.
NOTHING can change the dynamics of how a car rides, handles and reacts in all situations like a good pair of shocks.

I know Fred has already made his descision and I'm ok with that.

        Peace.

            You can always upgrade.

Like I said, look for deals - might find something you can't pass up! I mean, hell, if I found an awesome deal on coilovers, I'd jump to them in a heartbeat.

IDK they are nicknamed Decrapon's for a reason, and the Monroes wouldn't be a direct replacement if they weren't at least as good as the originals.
Either way as I said in an earlier post they will probably feel great at first, but as the stiffer springs and shorter travel situation does it's dirty work they will show their true value.

                    Although I could be wrong.

This is the theory that I am going with.

Fred, this spring my car is getting the cheapest that autozone has, and IMO they will far surpass what is on my car now and what came stock.
If they really are horrible, consider it a cheap lesson in quality.
