      • Looks good!

What did you end up doing now?

Ported 799's? What cam did you go with? If you dont mind my asking....

        • Sorry, no vid of it on the dyno.

Stock MAF and TB, LS6 intake, ported 799s with BTR dual springs, and the Tick cam (225/228 .61x"/.57x" 112+3 LSA), QTP longtubes and Borla exhaust.

All that changed from the previous numbers (335 hp / 349 ft lbs) was the heads and cam. So I picked up 45 hp and 29 ft lbs.

My goal was 400 hp, but it drives like stock and still rips pretty well which was my main objective. I had it in 6th gear yesterday running at 1100rpm and there was absolutely no surge. Phil is the man.

            • Those are impressive numbers for a cam that size. I am putting out pretty similar numbers from a cam a good bit bigger...but my 799's arent ported, and im running through an auto.

              • I think youd hit 400 pretty easily if you ever decided to change the cam for something bigger. But it looks like youve got a lot of usable power like it is.

Over camming is overrated... That said the 230/238 i have on my shelf is really tempting me ...

                  • I really like my 224r. I originally wanted to get a 228r but ran across a smoking deal on the 224r and a set of 918 springs I just couldn't pass up.

Everyone on tech is telling me my car will be slower with a bigger cam.
