A few months back when I put in my new exhaust I was having problems with my cats hitting the floor. I then changed motor mounts and trans mount to polys and solved the problem, however I picked up a lot of vibration. Everything rattled in my interior, any sort of rpm created vibration in the car, but I kind of got used to it. Just changed the trans mount back to stock and the car feels 1000x better! Feels like a 10 year newer car with how much smoother it is. I would rather change this thing every week than have a poly trans mount ever again Just wanted to share my experience.

My car DID NOT LIKE THE POLY MOUNT EITHER! It was in the car less than 10 minutes... Everything shook and vibrated...

I wonder if switching that might improve the vibrations in Epic. I'm running that poly mount too and figured the rattling was from something else... worth a shot.

Worth a shot.. My car was fine til I got above 30 MPH, then it was almost to the point I couldn't drive it, it shook so bad..

My experience was the exact opposite. I went from a poly mount to a stock mount and immediately back to the poly. I have no issues with vibration as a result of it and I feel a lot better not having my shifter jump through the console every time a I make quick change in throttle position.

I agree, i think it depends alot on how the rest of the car is setup too.

wierd. Last year my car was fine. This year I have had a different trans, poly mount, and slicks, and I got a bad vibration in the back. Changed the trans and its still there, maybe its not the slicks, just that little pos.

I have a poly mount. There are some vibrations but I'd rather not allow my trans to twist sideways and hit the floorboards...a few years ago launching the shifter slapped to the left and seemed like it almost hit me in the leg. Thought the rubber mount was broken but it was intact when I pulled it the next spring.

Solid mounts are for race cars and tractors. All of the cars I drive have rubber.

I have the same thing. But when driving 50+ it got bad with the poly mount. Maybe its just the drag radials. But I think im going to do a solid trans mount.

if its luxury it doesnt belong in an f-body, thats my motto
