spec 3+ FTW drives extremely good and holds a ton of power.. this is for lt1s but i am sure ls is the same/

im just looking from a cost standpoint for him. why spend $1200 if its not necessary. I have heard good things about the spec as well.

Do DD's have a faceplated trans and a spool too?

Does anyone have an LS7 clutch who would like to share their experience with it?

I'm still reading on the Monster level 3 and can't find anything bad about it, everyone says it engages smoothly (even the level 4, too). Of course the LS7 would last a lot longer but I don't think it would handle launching hard too well. As far as pricing goes, everything I want to get will be about $200 more going with the monster compared to the LS7 setup.

                            Used to own a Firebird.

I have the LS7 clutch. It feels dead stock. I've only launched it hard at the track a few times, but it never slipped enough to notice. I have heard of some guys running into problems after it gets hot with it slipping....which makes sense. you can't have your cake and eat it to..lol. Bottom line is it's gonna be a judgment call for you. For me personally, my car spends 99.9% of it's life on the street. It wasn't worth it to me me to spend more money for a grabby aftermarket clutch only to benifit from it .1% of the time.

i wouldnt recommend the ls7 clutch if your gonna take it to the track alot.
the added weight, added traction will kill it.
i think hugger z had oone that wouldnt hold. i forget who else had one too
