Vinnie like I said I have the LS7 clutch. Only put about 800 street miles on it so far but it seems great. Feels like a stock clutch and has consistent resistance the entire travel. I'd recommend it for a first priority street car any day. I can't speak for launching it but it has never slipped on me.

I would probably go with the Monster. The added weight of an Fbody and launching HARD on a sticky tire would hurt the LS7 after a while I think.

I see you guys referring to the Monster as a "grabby" aftermarket clutch. When you say grabby I assume you are referencing clutch chatter. With the material they use now all the reviews I have read say there is NO chatter at all with the new Monsters. Engagement is suppose to be smooth as a babys bottom. The only negative I can see is I'm sure the petal will be a bit firmer.

I don't think you guys have seen that I'm going with a drag setup for wheels

Even though I'm not running bias plys...

I also wouldnt recommend an LS7 clutch. It may hold the power just fine, but remember its still a stock clutch that is meant to last for a lot of miles.

You are wanting to race your car and that is not a "race ready", "bulletproof" clutch. IMO, I like the feel of an aftermarket clutch that hits the tires harder and is a decent amount lighter.

So now the real question is Level 3 or Level 4...3 is cerametallic and 4 is sintered iron. People are saying both are just as smooth, they're the same price so if one lasts longer than the other you know what I'm going with...

Yeah, I wouldn't do the LS7 knowing you are going that route now...hard to keep up with your plans

You gonna DD those wheels/tires too?

Yes, but I'm keeping the stock wheels/tires as a backup in case I find out that it sucks

you honestly wont have a problem, you will see for yourself come spring. Its not even noticeable unless you want to try to take corners like a crazy person

If you haven't decided yet - I have the monster level 3 and tick master in my car. I bought the 1st one Tick sold, Joey gave me a hell of a deal on it.

The level 3 grabs hard - I was scared for my 10 bolt, it chirp'd my nittos in 4th.

It made me order a 9" real quick. It takes a beating and just keeps on grabbing. I made 20 passes at the track with it one day - no clutch smell and no slip.

For a true street car the LS7 would be less grabby - but if you want to leave hard on bias tires it probably won't take the beating.

Afraid not - if it was warmer out - I'd consider snapping you a few shots. My car isn't lowered and it seems to have a lot of clearance.
